2008 and 2009 Glass Craft Expo Paragon Kiln Winners

Kay Walters won the drawing for a Paragon Caldera in 2008.

04/23/2009

For the last two years we have held a kiln drawing at Glass Craft and Bead Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2008 Kay Walters won a Caldera kiln. “I can't tell you how exciting this is. I will be using it for jewelry and test pieces,” she said. “The size is perfect! I'm still amazed that I won. You made my trip to the Glass & Bead Show in Las Vegas very exciting.”

The 2009 winner, Nicole Humphries, didn’t even know her name was in the drawing. Her mother entered for her. Nicole heard her name announced over the intercom and rushed to the Paragon booth. “I am still really excited about my kiln and actually used it for the first time this past week,” Nicole wrote later by email. “I made a PMC pendant and a ring. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the kiln is really easy to program, and my piece came out great.”
