This is our second awards presentation. Our first was two years ago.
Paragon is an employee-focused company. In a world where people frequently change jobs, Paragon is proud to celebrate the seniority of its employees. On April 5, John S. Hohenshelt, president, and David Vives, plant manager, handed out awards plaques for 10, 20, and 30 years of employment. The presentation was held at the Paragon kiln factory in Mesquite, Texas USA amidst stacks of crated kilns and shelves filled with kiln parts.
Fifty-one percent of our employees have been with Paragon at least 10 years; 20 percent have been here at least 20 years. Five employees have even been here 30 years or longer. This is our second seniority awards presentation. We held the first in 2010.
After the awards presentation, the “Paragonians” (as everyone who works here is called) sat at long tables and enjoyed a catered Mexican barbecue lunch. Dessert was cake decorated in red frosting with “Thank you, Paragon employees!”
With this much experience, many of the people who make Paragon kilns are master kiln builders. They are essential in our single-minded focus to produce extraordinary kilns.
